Dear Members of the Midwest Hanmi Presbytery ,
Due to a shortage of funds in the presbytery, I communicated with the Synod Administrative Commission (acting as the presbytery) in early February about cutting back my work hours to part-time and being paid accordingly. Based on the reality of diminished financial resources in the presbytery, the Synod Administrative Commission has declared a financial emergency in the Midwest Hanmi Presbytery and approved my request to work part-time. This action allowed me to seek and accept another part-time call (work) elsewhere in the PC(U.S.A.). The SAC will meet again in mid-March to take formal action on changes in the terms of my call.
Therefore, starting March 1st, 2011, I will be working in the Midwest Hanmi Presbytery office on Fridays only, and I will be temporarily working for the Office of the General Assembly of the PC(U.S.A.) Monday through Thursday (part-time). In addition, I will be available to the presbytery on Thursday evenings, Saturdays, or Sundays for any meetings, consultations, visits, or other business that requires my personal attention.
Your understanding on this change would be greatly appreciated.
Rev. Heahwan Rim
Executive Presbyter
